It is not deniable that community development is important to develop needed structures and increase growth that will provide a better life and improve standard of living for the people in that community. It equally contributes to human development because it ensures that communities can develop socio-economic, and political power thereby improving skills and knowledge, which in turn helps build capacity.
To continuing supporting and strengthening the 181-communities in Anambra state inorder to sustain growth, improve development and, to achieve the vision for a prosperous smart megacity, Governor Chukwuma Soludo administration has prioritized ‘open societal development , which will ensure equitable distribution of development , increase human welfare and foster skill-diversity and complementarity by addressing the real needs of communities.
The Soludo’s administration will propose a revision of community laws to make communities more secure, productive, creative and self-reliant. To make communities more attractive, new initiatives that ensure collaboration, competitiveness and comparison shall be adopted.
Yes! A sustainable community development is integral part of Soludo’s sectoral plan and the goal is for Anambra to become the most Liveable smart megacity in Nigeria, for the ease of transport, communication, recreational facilities and public conveniences, and secured environment.
