The Governor of Anambra State, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo CFR has said that Anambra has an environmental challenge, with the state having a greater number of erosion sites in Nigeria.
Assessing an erosion site at Ezi Oko community, Governor Soludo stressed that the erosion challenge in Anambra is humongous such that the entire State budget multiplied by twenty cannot fix all of it.
Doing the little things that matters, Soludo charged residents to ensure “zero runoff water” from their houses.
Governor Soludo also inspected a section of Umuchu-Umunze road where a part of it had caved in.
He ordered for immediate intervention on the road, assuring the people that Contractors will be mobilized to site next week.
