The Governor of Anambra State, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo CFR earlier today presented the 2023 Budget Proposal tagged “A budget of acceleration” to the Anambra State House of Assembly for accelerated hearing and passage.
As a reflection of the people’s need, he pointed out that road construction and urban regeneration chunks up majority of the budget.
Education, health and youth empowerment is not left out while expenditure on security continues to be sustained.
A major emphasis is placed also on environment, erosion, preparation of emergency responses for the future and addressing the systemic threat of gully erosion in the state.
Sports development and technology is also not exempted as his administration is reinventing government through e-governance.
Governor Soludo charged the Anambra Assembly to bond together with the Executive arm as a patriotic team for development and lifting the state together.
With God on our side and our feet on the accelerating pedal says Soludo, Anambra will soar beyond imagination, please let’s do this together, he beckoned.
The Speaker Anambra House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Uche Okafor moved a motion that the 2023 Budget Testament and Appropiation bill for the sum of N258,970,175,905 Billion for the services of the government of Anambra state of Nigeria For the year ending 31st December 2023 and for connected purposes be considered for first reading, passed, and approved for second reading.
