2010 World Cup Champions Spain have sacked it’s Manager Luis Enrique after their penalty defeat in the hands of Morocco, the only African country to qualify for Quarter Finals.
“Both the president, Luis Rubiales, and the sporting director, Jose Francisco Molina, have told the coach their decision,” the RFEF (football association) said in a statement.
Spain started their World Cup campaign in grand style, thrashing Costa Rica 7-0
They were strong favourites against Morocco but crashed out on penalties after the game finished goalless following extra-time.
Reacting, Fans lambasted the Spanish Football Authority for failing to call up it’s best defender Sergio Ramos and midfield maestro, Thiago Alcantara.
