Thiago Silva is number one. “Man of the Match” was well deserved and once again fantastic. He is so consistent that he deserves to be signed for at least another year. Chelsea’s player of the season thus far, he has been faultless and also helped Badiashile.
2. Badiashile two games, two clean sheets. He has had two very good performances in his first two matches and appears to be an absolute steal. Very strong defensively and composed. Already, he and Silva appear to be a great pair.
3. Mudryk is a genuine article. He came off the bench but looked fantastic, and you can tell he’s going to be a fantastic signing. With a great dribbling run, he came so close to scoring and caused Liverpool problems; swift, deft, and a massive threat. Something Chelsea has been missing for a long time, and fans can’t wait to see more of him.
4. Azpilicueta, who has played 500 times for Chelsea, has played in a massive number of games and is unquestionably a legend. He also contributed well off the bench today, a significant achievement that Chelsea fans should be proud of.
5. Cucurella is excellent. Salah was kept quiet, and he played well. He’s been out on the sidelines recently and appears to have had personal issues, which could explain his struggles. He did well today however, he is clearly a quality player.
6. Ziyech is a major threat. Today he made some fantastic passes and had a great run. Should have had at least one assist and is currently showing World Cup form at Chelsea. He needs to stay on the team and be around players like Felix, Mudryk, and James to improve.
7. Mount Deplorable! He hasn’t been himself in a long time, and that hasn’t changed today. With the attackers out and new players on the way, he could find himself on the bench very soon if he does not improve. Mason is loved, but he hasn’t been good enough for a long time and deserves to be chastised.
8. Chelsea is gradually improving. A good victory over Crystal Palace and a good result today. They’ve looked a lot better defensively and from set-pieces. They will create more in the future, and as players return and new signings integrate, they will only improve. There is still plenty of time until Fulham, and hopefully they will begin to turn things around.
