According to Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo of Anambra State, who praised the people of Njikoka for their votes while inspecting the ongoing construction of the 5.12km Abagana-Nimo Road, Njikoka is indeed the home of APGA, as evidenced by their victory in the most recent gubernatorial election recorded in 17 of the 18 wards in the area.
The Governor stated that he visited the area to determine the amount of work being done and that he will commission the road on his subsequent trip to Njikoka.
Additionally, he said he would soon tour the General Hospital in Enugwu Ukwu, which is also located in Njikoka Local Government.
He thanked ndi Njikoka for supporting APGA and expressed confidence that the party will win in all 18 of Njikoka’s wards in the upcoming election.
In contrast to other parties’ fruitless promises, he reminded the populace that APGA is the party building the road, and that is what APGA is all about.
Soludo said that this was just the beginning of bigger things to come and on the 17th of this month, he would have held been in office for 11 months.
He asked the populace to cast a significant number of votes for APGA so that the party could continue to create a prosperous and livable Anambra.
On behalf of the people, the TC Chairman of Njikoka, Hon. Clems Aguiyi, expressed his appreciation. He added that the Governor was visiting for the third time in relation to the construction of the road and that he would return for its commissioning once it was finished.
He also informed the Governor that hoodlums had attacked the local government, killing three members of the strike force and critically injuring two others. On their behalf, he asked that a moment of silence be observed.
Ifeanyi Okoma, the Commissioner for Works, declared on October 14, 2022 that the road had been approved after Soludo had inspected it to confirm the accuracy of reports he had been told.
He said the Governor flagged-off the road on October 29th, and today makes it the third time Soludo is checking up on the roads to make sure the reports are accurate.
“The road is now open for vehicular travel. After three months, there are still five months to finish building the road.
“The length of the road is 5.12 kilometres. I must appreciate Nimo and Njikoka’s assistance. We faced some difficulties, but their Traditional Rulers and PGs were supportive.
“Before applying asphalt on the road that is guaranteed to last for 20 years, drains have been stepped up and subgrades filled with an 8-inch stone base,” the Commissioner said.
AVM Ben Chiobi, Special Adviser on Security Matters, stressed that if God wants to save a country, he begins with one man. He said that Anambra would experience development during his time in office. The people of Njikoka will vote APGA from top to bottom, he informed the governor.
The Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, and a native of Abagana, Mrs. Chiamaka Nnake welcomed the Governor to her community and assured him of their utmost support for the next election.
The APGA candidate for the Njikoka 1 constituency in the Anambra House of Assembly, Chidi Ibemeka, informed the governor that the quality of the roads he is constructing in the region is unheard of.
The APGA candidate for the Njikoka 2 seat in the Anambra House of Assembly, Hon. Jude Akpua, gave the Governor his word that he would cooperate with his government to advance the state’s development.
When explaining to Soludo how for the past 8 years, he has been moving several motions for the construction of the road, Hon Pete Ibida, the sitting Member representing Njikoka 2 in the Anambra House of Assembly, was overcome with emotion.
“When Soludo arrived, i only prayed, and God heard my prayers,” Ibida said.
He informed the Governor that the development of the road had given the populace vitality.
When he declared he was proud to have initiated the road’s development, the governor sprang into action and revived the project.
He continued by saying that Julius Berger was developing roads to the same standard as the Governor.
The road that connects Abagana and Nimo and leads to Neni and Oraukwu is strategically important, according to Hon. Chinedu Nwoye Glamour, a son of Njikoka.
“This will ease traffic at Nkwo Enugwu and Elias road,” Glamour said.
He claimed that APGA had consistently won in Njikoka and that this time, as payment to the Governor, he charged the populace to vote totally in favor of APGA.
