While the nation was clamoring for a power shift from North to South in the spirit of rotational presidency, the PDP abandoned the zoning formulae in their own constitution, doing so without apologies to the South-East zone that had been the most loyal to them.
“We need to capture power first before we talk about sharing it,” DG Tambuwal said proudly.
“We can’t fly a weak candidate,” he added. We must approach this election with the strength of this bargain, as Atiku garnered 11 million votes in the last presidential election.”
He then made fun of the South East by asking how many votes they could give us.
Look at the outcome of his boasting. Where are the 11 million votes? This election is PDP’s worst presidential performance since 1999. They are the biggest losers in this election.
In reality, the Labour Party received more votes than the PDP, and the courts will confirm this.
Loyalty is a good thing. Never, ever repay good with evil.
This could be the start of the end for the PDP. This is a harsh reality.
